Mission Statement
Dominican College, Wicklow is a welcoming place to all who come in our doors. We welcome everyone irrespective of culture, social, religious or educational background.
We are a Catholic school. We aim to provide for our students a specifically Catholic formation whilst at the same time welcoming students from other faith traditions and being sensitive and mindful of their needs.
We are inclusive in our intake, comprehensive in our curriculum, exercising justice and fairness in our structures and behaviour management strategies. We are consultative in our decision-making.
At all times, we aim to take positive steps to fulfil our mission in partnership with the Department of Education and Science, the Board of Management, our parents, our staff, our students, our trustees and the local community.
We endeavour to promote Christian values. Justice, peace, forgiveness, reconciliation and mutual understanding are promoted in the daily life of the school community. We aim to educate our students to be people of integrity and responsibility whose potential has begun to be realised and who will use their gifts to contribute to a more just society.
We aim to educate the whole person and to encourage the qualities of truth, respect, responsibility, happiness and excellence in a caring, Christian environment.
