Equestrian
This year DCW were delighted to welcome fresh faces to our Show Jumping team. Throughout the school year this team will compete in the Inter-Schools Show Jumping League which over 40 schools take part in. The Inter-schools Show Jumping season started on in September and runs right on through to April. Our riders show great dedication, they have to keep their horses fit during the winter months, riding them out in the freezing cold, rain and even snow sometimes. In preparation for competitions they have to have their horses washed, plaited and on the road before 8.00am on their weekends. When they arrive, they learn their course and they warm up their horses before Jumping.
DCWs Chef d’Equipe Ms. Stafford would like to thank all the girls who arrive with their horses turned out beautifully and who always put their all into their performances. She would also like to say a huge thank you to all the parents who give up their weekends to drive their daughters to competitions and who give so much support to all the team members.
Our team consists of established riders who have great relationships with their horses.
